Ralph Engelstad Arena

The 400,000 square foot, $104 million Ralph Engelstad Arena boasts granite concourse floors, leather seats, luxury suites, and enormous club rooms. The training facility features a 10,000 sq. ft. weight room and underwater treadmill, fourteen locker rooms and an extra Olympic sheet of ice. This arena serves as host to the University of North Dakota Hockey.

Did you know that Big Blue, the third largest land crane was used to set the main trusses on this structure? Over 4,000 tons of steel and 1.1 million bricks were used in the construction of this Grand Forks landmark.

NTI provided materials engineering services such as pile observations, concrete inspection and asphalt inspection as well as soil, density, masonry, fireproofing and asphalt testing.
